After
Jesus had said this, He went on and ahead, going up to Jerusalem. As He
approach Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, He sent
two of His Disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you,
and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever
ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, “Why are you untying
it?’ tell him, the Lord needs it.” Those who were sent ahead went and found it
just as he had told them. As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them,
“Why are you untying the colt?” They replied, “The Lord needs it.” Luke
19:28-34 NIV
The next matter we want to consider in this is the instruction Jesus gave the disciples He sent for the release of the colt.
“…Untie it and bring it
here.” This statement here actually signifies the release of the life that has been in making, under discipline and has been waiting for the time when there is need for it. It is a
call for service. “Untie it” is a release from making to serve, it implies that one is due for service. God is also saying; the life i have kept under another to watch, nurture, train, teach, guide and lead is now ready to serve for I have need of it now. it means that
one is now qualify for service and its time to serve. That is, him who can not go
anywhere he wants to go, who can not do anything he wishes to do and can not serve while in the process of making in the hands of another whom God also has help to make him (Discipler) is now fit for service. You cannot make a purposeful step in life for the Lord until you have being untied from the place of making perhaps; "The Quarry Site". “and bring it here,” He said. Another thing you must
learn here is that you must first learn to submit yourself to him whom God is sending for your release for service. You should be able to trust God to help you to know the time of your release and be taken to the place where your entire being must be lay down for the Master to ride on. To the place where the journey begins for you. It
is the place where the Master waits for your arrival just like the prodigal son.
May you find grace to give yourselves for the Master so that He can ride on you when He has need for you. Amen!
Remain Blessed.
