After
Jesus had said this, He went on and ahead, going up to Jerusalem. As He
approach Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, He sent
two of His Disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you,
and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever
ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, “Why are you untying
it?’ tell him, the Lord needs it.” Those who were sent ahead went and found it
just as he had told them. As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them,
“Why are you untying the colt?” They replied, “The Lord needs it.” Luke
19:28-34 NIV
Today, we will continue again with a statement from the passage above trusting God to speak to us and help us to be obedient to His Word. Amen.
“…You will find a colt
tied there,” Again, this is the instruction God gave to
the disciples. It is very important for us to take note that it is in the village ahead that the colt was tied. It matters much that we find out how long but may not tell how long the colt
has been tied there waiting for the need of its service. In the village, there was no freedom of movement, it only stay where it is been tied
and eats what is giving to eat, it goes where it’s been pulled to, all the Colt could
do is to follow and been obedient day and night. “you
will find a colt tied there.” To be tied there is to keep in range. The yock round yoke neck for learning, training, following, receiving and for listening, have you break off feom it to freedom and pleasure before your making is over for service? When
the Master have need and send for you, what and where would you be found? An untied colt a tied colt in the village ahead? May you come back to your senses as the prodigal son did and return to your place of waiting. Amen.
