The Lord Needs It; Part 1 (One)

After Jesus had said this, He went on and ahead, going up to Jerusalem. As He approach Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His Disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, “Why are you untying it?’ tell him, the Lord needs it.” Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them. As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?” They replied, “The Lord needs it.” Luke 19:28-34 NIV

In the passage above, Jesus is just about to enter Jerusalem but there is a need. The need to ride on a colt. The need for a suitable vessel to meet the need of the master. The need for a life that is tied down not for any other use but only for the master's use.

When God created man, it was for the man to fulfill a purpose for which there is a time and season for it. Man responsibility is to discover that purpose and wait patiently for the time to serve his purpose, it is expected that he respond and submit himself for service (to work) when he is needed. Man was made a vessel for every good works for the Master in every area of life, be it in business offices, schools, fields, church, home, play ground etc.

Did you know this truth; the truth about your existence on this very planet? did yo know that you are only here because God only wanted you to accomplish a purpose? Then have you discovered the purpose for which you are here? Now its the time for you to do so. Seek God in Prayer and study of the Scripture and you will soon discover your purpose for life. May God help us all. Amen

  2. I'm blessed by this message.
The colt lived only for the Lord, it was preserved for a purpose, should the colt be ridden it would have forfeit the purpose why it existed.
It is true that the Lord created us for a purpose, he is raising his people for a divine agenda, who are not exploited by their circumstances and the service God is preparing them for.
He needs men who are not ridden ,men who are not exploited by what He is preparing them for.
May the Lord help us to remain tied, In His confine for the making until our back is mature to carry Him to Jerusalem and to the ends of the earth. Amen
