The popular Nigerian actress known as Jenifa, was one of many celebrities in Nigeria who advised people to stay at home in a campaign by Dettol Nigeria to raise awareness about proper hygiene and social distancing was arrested and had being arraigned in court for throwing a birthday party during the lockdown. Jenifa, and her husband though pleaded guilty in court and were each fined the sum of 100, 000 naira each. They were also sentenced to 14 days of community service.

It is said that “it is easier to listen to people who have become than to listen to people who are becoming.”  Jenifa is the kind of among many celebrities that people will easily listen to, the kind that has being an example to others. But what lessons do people and other young and upcoming actors, actresses and comedians learn from the behaviour of this iconic Nigerian actress, comedian and a model from whom they are deriving motivation and inspiration from her great acts, dedication and commitment to achieving and reaching this height of success in her career and who will lead the way but will not keep the way?

Here are some of the lessons we should take from the recent act of the actress.

1. People who have become a model or are an icon in the society should always lead the way. They should be an example to others especially to them who takes them as their model. When you say a thing, do it. There are people who are only waiting to hear and see you take the lead so that they can follow. Such people will or may not say or do anything unless you do but when you fail in your part, they also fail.
2. Highly respected persons and iconic personalities in the society sometimes feel that they have reach they optimum height and have the power do anything they want to do. But we learnt from Jenifa that no matter your height of achievement and success in life, a single mistake is powerful enough to paint you black among many and also capable to break the pillars that keep you soaring.
3. No matter who you are, no matter what you are, your status and achievement in the society, obey government authorities. It is for your good and safety. 
4. Though she and her husband apologized for their behaviours, it is a very strong message, example and a motivation to others to always accept that you are wrong and apologies whenever you are. this is one thing is most appreciated about her.
